- Lecturer, University of Cape Town
I am a radio astronomer specialising in the field of galaxy evolution. I have an undergraduate degree in physics and a PhD in astrophysics from the University of Western Australia. I worked for four years as a research fellow at the University of Zagreb in Croatia. I then moved to the University of Cape Town Astronomy Department, where I was a South African Radio Astronomy Observatory (SARAO) research fellow before taking up a lectureship at the University of Cape Town in early 2022. My research makes use of data from South Africa's MeerKAT telescope. I am a primary or co-author on 32 peer-reviewed publications. I have significant science communication experience and am the co-creator, producer and host of The Cosmic Savannah podcast, bringing African astronomy research to the general public.
