Jaana Dielenberg

Jaana Dielenberg is an Honorary Fellow at The University of Melbourne and a University Fellow (Biodiversity) at Charles Darwin University. She collaborates on research to improve the management of the Australian environment and the policies that influence it, including those related to cat management.

Much of Jaana's work focuses on the intersection of science, policy and communication to address Australia’s biodiversity crisis. She has held senior roles in the Biodiversity Council, the National Environmental Science Program Threatened Species Recovery Hub, and the National Environmental Research Program Northern Australia Hub. She was also a Business Analyst at Griffith University for the DFAT-supported Pacific iClim project. Prior to this, she was the Knowledge Broker for Melbourne Water's Waterways Division and spent 8 years in waterway planning and management roles.

Jaana has a BA (Geography) and a Master of Environment from the University of Melbourne, and also completed 3 years of a Bachelor of Architecture at RMIT University.

Jaana is an Ambassador for the Australasian Dark Sky Alliance.
