Isra Iqbal

Isra Iqbal is a PhD student at Western University within the School of Kinesiology, under the supervision of Dr. Adam Ali. During her MSc studies at York University, she investigated safe sport policies and practices within sport for development (SFD) organizations that serve child- and youth-focused programs in the Global South. Her doctoral research aims to further examine safe sport in the context of sport medicine, human rights, and mega-sporting events, with a particular focus on the potential impacts of (un)safe practices and policies on diverse and historically marginalized populations globally.
