Dr. Irena Colakova Veljanova is currently an adjunct academic with the School of Social Sciences at WSU. She previously held a position of a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at WSU, where she contributed to the School of Social Sciences (SoSS) and the wider University through applied research, student-centred teaching, and academic governance. She completed her doctorate in Human Welfare Studies and Services at Western Sydney University in 2011. Dr. Irena C. Veljanova will be assuming the role of Associate Professor in Social Sciences at Excelsia University College in 2026.
