Ioannis researches young people’s out-of-school learning experiences. He uses a combination of education theory, sociology and psychology.

Ioannis has worked with charities, youth groups, youth sport, and early school leavers, and currently teaches courses about young people, interventions, deviance, and qualitative research.

He is also a keen Warhammer fan and has recently edited a book which uses sociology and psychology to understand Warhammer in new and exciting ways: https://playstorypress.org/books/the-psychgeist-of-pop-culture-warhammer/
