Ingrid Matthews (BEc LLB PhD) lives on unceded lands of the sovereign Darug people. She teaches criminology and law at UNSW where she specialises in creation of criminality in colonised, racialised, and impoverished communities and truth telling in curriculum. Ingrid is an interdisciplinary scholar who has published in law, social sciences, and cultural studies. She is a feminist and abolitionist who advocates against expansion of the criminal law as a social policy tool and electoral strategy.
