I did my PhD Thesis at the Goethe-Universität Frankfurt, working on the characterization and identification of the navigational process in homing Pigeons. During that time I also worked part time as Research Fellow and was mainly responsible for the development of new methods for analysis of tracking data and the co-ordination and execution of experiments with pigeons. In 2011 I moved to Australia where I now work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queensland Brain institute, researching visual guidance in birds.
