Ilyas Akbar Almadani

Assistant Lecturer of Government Studies at UMUKA (Universitas Muhammadiyah Karanganyar), trained in Political Governance at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). His academic focus includes Indonesia’s political trajectory amid the Global South, algorithm-driven governance, and the emotional politics of the digital public sphere.

He is passionate about shaping public discourse on diplomacy, defense, and national leadership in a rapidly transforming world.

His undergraduate thesis explored the political strategies of political parties in Indonesia, while his master’s dissertation examined patronage and clientelism in the 2024 general elections—revealing how informal networks and algorithmic resonance intertwine in shaping electoral outcomes.
