Ian O'Hara is Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research at Queensland University of Technology. Ian is widely recognised for his expertise in policies, technologies and systems for developing the bioeconomy and producing bio-based products including biofuels, bioenergy and biomaterials. In addition to his academic role, Ian also supports the Queensland Government as the Biofuels Industry Envoy supporting the advancement of the biofuels industry in Queensland. Ian is a Fellow of the Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE), a Fellow of Engineers Australia and a member of the International Advisory Council on Global Bioeconomy.
