Ian Mahar

My research (McGill University; Boston University) has focused on the neurobiology of psychiatric conditions. My PhD research with the McGill Group for Suicide Studies at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute focused on hippocampal neurogenesis and neurotrophic factor signaling in emotional modulation and suicide. My postdoctoral research is interested in psychiatric phenotypes in the context of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).
