- Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Queensland University of Technology
My PhD focussed on understanding how normal regulatory mechanisms go awry in colon cancer. My postdoctoral career of 5 1/2 years (career interruptions due to birth of 4 children) has centred upon metastatic breast cancer and the cellular biology of this switch from localised cancer. My recent role (feb-) is understanding the molecular and physical contribution of dense breast tissue as fertile soil for cancer initiation.
