Holly is a Research Fellow at Edge Hill University and works closely with the Children, Young People and Families Research team within the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine.
Holly is currently working on The DETECT study (Dynamic Electronic Tracking and Escalation) and explores the experiences of children and their families being monitored using VitalPAC Paediatric and examines its clinical utility and acceptability to clinicians.
Holly's PhD research explores the communication that occurs during a child’s X-ray procedure and children and parent’s perceptions of the interaction and procedure. She is experienced in non-participant observation and has also designed and utilised participatory arts-based methods to promote inclusion of participants in research. Prior to undertaking her PhD in Health, Holly has a Geography and Population Health background with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Dundee, UK, and an MSc from the University of Liverpool, UK.
Holly's research interests include children's health care interactions and experiences, and children's voice.
