• Associate Professor, UCL

I am an Associate Professor, based in UCL’s Arena Centre for Research Based Education. I lead the Eugenics Legacy Education Project (ELEP) which focuses on developing the educational outcomes of UCL's Eugenics Inquiry Report. I collaborate with colleagues across UCL's eleven faculties to explore the ways that UCL’s eugenics history and resources can be incorporated into different disciplinary contexts. I collaborate with a wide range of colleagues in a diverse range of roles to think about how we teach this difficult knowledge.

My teaching expertise and research interests are closely aligned and broadly relate to Inclusive Education. I am interested in the role of educators in developing inclusive education in their own contexts and the ways that professional support and professional learning act as levers for this development. More recently I have been working on the ways that ‘difficult knowledge’ is taught in higher education contexts and how this links to inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning spaces. I am interested in the role of reparative approaches to teaching and learning in the context of institutional legacies and histories of harm and develop resources that educators can use in their own classrooms.
