- Senior Research Partner, University of Alberta
Heather Young-Leslie is Senior Research Partner, Office of the Vice-President Research and Innovation, and Adjunct Professor, Department of Anthropology, University of Alberta. Her research has examined cultural responses to, and sopcietal impact of, public health messaging in major international campaigns, from WHO's maternal-child health initiatives in Tonga, to the global fight against HIV in Papua New Guinea, and most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. In her current, administrative role, Dr. Young-Leslie manages a team dedicated to assisting faculty to success in research development, and serves as the Lead Liaision for Research Impact Canada.
