Heather is currently an Associate Professor at Flinders University, where she teaches historical archaeology and graduate research topics. She graduated with a PhD from UNE in 1996 and has research interests in the archaeology of standing structures, WWII, social memory and the creation of cultural landscapes, and the public interpretation and presentation of heritage sites. Over the past 20+ years she has worked on historical and Indigenous archaeological sites in South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory.
