My DPhil research explores the impact of disruptions on energy infrastructure and the potential of hydrogen derivatives to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry and transport. It also examines the opportunities and risks of developing a hydrogen-based economy in the Global South, with a particular focus on political instability and the prospects for export-oriented clean energy.
