I am an Associate Professor Emeritus of Biology at Tufts University, where I served on the faculty from 1979 until my retirement in 2020. Throughout my tenure, I was deeply committed to undergraduate education, striving to make complex biological concepts accessible and engaging for students. The courses I taught included Introductory Biology, Comparative Vertebrate Physiology, Mammalian Physiology and Immunology.

Beyond teaching, I took great pride in mentoring students, serving as an advisor for the Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Symposium, participating in the Summer Scholars Selection Committee, and was the faculty chair of the Health Professions Recommendation Committee.
