Hans Peter Schmitz

Hans Peter Schmitz serves as the Bob and Carol Mattocks Distinguished Professor in Nonprofit Leadership in the Department of Public Administration at North Carolina State University. His research focuses on the role of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and high-net-worth philanthropy at a global scale. He is the co-author of 'Between Power and Irrelevance: The Future of Transnational NGOs' (Oxford University Press, 2020) and has published on the diverse philanthropic logics expressed by billionaire members of the Giving Pledge community.
