As SARChI Chair for Mineral Law in Africa, Prof Hanri Mostert's research focuses on mineral and energy law, expropriation, and legal frameworks for the just energy transition across the African continent. She works at the intersection of law, policy, and governance, applying systems thinking to complex challenges in the extractives sector. She is an ICF-certified Integral Coach® and trained in Organisational and Relationship Systems Coaching (ORSC®), supporting leadership development and institutional transformation in contexts affected by inequality, resource pressure, and the lingering effects of resource exploitation. Her coaching practice strengthens the human capacities needed for negotiating extractive agreements and shaping responsive, just resource law and policy.
