I am conducting a PhD in the epidemiology of bumblebee disease. My research focusses on a particular parasite which lives in the guts of bumblebees. I use this parasite as a model to investigate broad epidemiological questions, such as what are the impacts of age on susceptibility to infection and how to environmental factors such as temperature impact parasite infectivity?
