- Assistant Professor of Psychology, Wayne State University
I am currently an Associate Professor of Psychology at Wayne State University and adjunct faculty at the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute for Child and Family Development. I received my Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and completed a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Southern California.
My research examines how and why adolescent peer relationships shape later health and well-being. I am especially interested in understanding risk factors and consequences of bullying involvement and the role of close friendships in promoting adolescents' adjustment. The ultimate goal of this research is to shed light on potential intervention approaches and social policies that can promote healthy relationships and positive developmental outcomes among youth.
