Hannah is author of 'A History of the Modern Australian University' (NewSouth 2014) and Virtue Capitalists: The Rise and Fall of the Professional Class in the Anglophone World (Cambridge University Press 2023). Hannah writes about work, education and capitalism and keeps a widely read blog called "F*cking Capitalism" at https://hannahforsyth.substack.com/

Hannah is Adjunct Associate Professor of History at the University of New England, CH Currey Memorial Fellow 2026 at the State Library of NSW and Kathleen Fitzpatrick Visiting Fellow at the Laureate Research Program in Global Corporations and International Law at the University of Melbourne. Hannah works part-time as a researcher for the Federal Government.
