Hannah Fair is a Lecturer in Human Geography at the University of Southampton. She was previously a Departmental Lecturer at the University of Oxford and a postdoctoral researcher at Brunel University London. She has a PhD from University College London.

Hannah is fundamentally interested in changing and contested nature-society relations, and how these connect to issues of labour, power and justice. She has explored this through the lenses of i) climate justice in the Pacific Island region, ii) ethical challenges in orangutan conservation and iii) domestic pest management. She is the Principal Investigator of the UKRI Economic and Social Research Council funded project ‘Situating Pests: Impacts, Disgust, Expertise and Responsibility’ (SPIDER), and has previously received funding from the Royal Geographical Society and the Oxford University Press John Fell Fund. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and an Associate Editor of the journal 'Society and Animals'.
