Hannah is a doctoral candidate in Social Data Science at the Oxford Internet Institute, and a researcher at the Computational Propaganda Project. She has contributed to a number of research projects as part of the Computational Propaganda Project, including a data memo on "Coronavirus Coverage by State-Backed English-Language News Sources" and more recently a report examining global trends in disinformation titled "Industrialised Disinformation: 2020 Global Inventory of Organised Social Media Manipulation".
Her research interests include China's use of state-sponsored digital disinformation, China-US relations, and China's use of online censorship. She also has a particular methodological focus on automated content analysis, natural language processing and tools to assess discourse framing.
