Hanna Tervanotko

I am an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at McMaster University. I specialize in Jewish literature of the Second Temple, and I study them within the ancient eastern Mediterranean cultural contexts. In my first book, I analyzed the figure of Miriam in ancient Jewish literature. My second book examines the use of divination in the Jewish texts of the Greco-Roman era. My research interests include gender, divination, magic, and health.
