With an educational background in mathematics and neuroscience, I am an interdisciplinary researcher working at the interface of biology, mathematics and computation, with a focus on uncovering the fundamental principles of natural intelligence. My expertise spans insect behaviour, neuroscience and biocomputation, and I aim to bridge natural and artificial intelligence by identifying the mechanisms that underpin true autonomy in embodied intelligent systems.

Drawing on both academic and industrial experience, I develop and integrate behavioural experiments, neurobiological techniques and computational modelling to understand how miniature brains support flexible, efficient behaviour, and to translate these insights into bio-inspired solutions. Alongside my research, I am an active mentor and collaborator, committed to building inclusive, high-performing research environments, advancing biological and artificial intelligence, and contributing to the wider scientific community through peer review, outreach and public engagement.
