Graham Hawke

Graham is an experienced non-executive director and accomplished executive spanning all tiers of government, not-for-profit, joint ventures and global corporations. Brings sound judgement, strategic leadership and integrity to complex, regulated, publicly scrutinised environments, with strengths in governance, risk, organisational performance and stakeholder engagement. He is known for a constructive and collegiate style that supports effective board deliberation and decision-making.

He is the Deputy Chair at Westernport Water, a Director on the board of Water Research Australia Ltd. His prior board roles include National Computational Infrastructure and Antarctic Climate Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre.

He chaired the Australia-China Joint Research Centre on River Basin Management, the Audit Committee at the Bureau of Meteorology and significant national committees, such as the Water Information Research and Development Alliance with CSIRO and BOM, roles that required strong governance acumen, risk management capability, diplomacy and stewardship of multi-agency science and technology initiatives.

He has an MBA, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of Engineers Australia.
