Graeme Dunk has an extensive background in Defence and defence industry initially as an Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. After leaving the RAN in 1994 he conducted his own consulting business for over five years providing ASW, operational, strategic and project management services to the defence industry.
He has extensive experience in industry for defence, in companies both large and small. From 2012 to 2017 he was the Executive Manager of the industry association Australian Business Defence Industry. He also has project and business development experience in Pakistan, Sweden, Singapore and India. He currently has roles as the Head of Strategy for Shoal Group Pty Ltd, and undertaking strategic policy research for the ANU.
Graeme Dunk has a PhD in defence industrial sovereignty from the Australian National University. He also has a Science degree in pure mathematics, a Master of Science degree in maritime defence technology and a Master of Defence Studies degree in strategic studies. He is a member of the City and Guilds of London Institute.
