- Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Sports Science, Nottingham Trent University
I am a postdoctoral research fellow in sport science, with a focus on paediatric and adolescent physical activity and health. My research explores how physical activity influences children’s and adolescents’ health, wellbeing, and academic achievement.
Throughout my academic and research career, I have conducted research across diverse areas of sport science and health, working with a wide range of populations. This includes children as young as eight, youth athletes, high-performing university athletes, clinical patients within the NHS, and healthy young adults. Within the Physical Activity and Health Across the Lifespan group, I have been involved in several projects investigating the role of physical activity in children with ADHD and ASD.
My primary research interest lies in understanding and harnessing the role of physical activity in improving health, wellbeing, and cognitive functioning among young people. I am particularly passionate about how physical activity can help reduce health and academic inequalities between neurodivergent and neurotypical children.
