- PhD student, Newcastle University
Grace joined the Geodesy group in 2011 after completing a degree in Geology and Geophysics at Durham University and spending several years working as a Geotechnical Engineer. Her research involves modelling Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) in Antarctica for the purpose of improving ice mass loss estimates from GRACE gravity data and improving knowledge of Earth Structure. Of particularly interest is Late Holocene ice-mass changes and how they contribute to the present-day GIA signal with a focus on the Antarctic Peninsula and Siple Coast regions.
