Giorgio Tosco

I am a specialist on Early Modern trade, with a special focus on Italy, the Netherlands, and the Atlantic world. I studied at Pisa (Italy), got my PhD at the European University Institute, and worked in Italy and in Germany. I have published around ten articles and chapters in edited volumes, and I am completing a manuscript for Brill. I am currently employed at Pavia University (Italy), where I am working in a project on how African demand for textile cloth influenced European production, just before the colonization.
