Giorgia Riboni

Giorgia Riboni is Associate Professor of English Language and Linguistics at the University di Turin. Her research interests lie mainly in the field of discourse analysis, with particular regard to new media communication. After publishing a series of studies devoted to the discursive constructions of identities on social media platforms, her research interests have expanded to include narratives and discourses related to family and parenting. She is also currently working on the concepts of pathologisation and medicalisation and how the definition of illness becomes collectively shared in a given sociocultural context.
