Giacomo Falchetta

(He/him)

I am a Scientist at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change based at the CMCC@Ca' Foscari, and a Research Scholar at the Energy, Climate, and Environment program at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis.

As an applied energy and environmental economist by training, I am working on data-driven approaches for integrated energy-economy-environment analysis, with a specific focus on multi-level decisions (household, infrastructure, national and global policy) related to climate change impacts and adaptation, as well as to sustainable development challenges. My work consists of data-driven research, mostly through statistical (predictive and inferential methods) and techno-economic approaches of energy and environmental issues, and the relative policy implications. I really much believe in the power of data (in particolar, geospatial analysis and remote sensing) for empowering both research and policy.
