Georgia Pike-Rowney

Georgia is a transdisciplinary practitioner and researcher with expertise in historical and contemporary education and outreach in the contexts of the arts, health and wellbeing, and in museums. Georgia holds a BA (ANU) in Classical Studies and Law, a Dip.Ed in History (Monash), and a PhD encompassing both music education and ancient world studies (ANU). She has developed object-based learning, schools outreach, and community engagement programs as Curator of the Classics Museum at the Australian National University. She manages restitution of ancient artefacts within the museum through community education, diplomatic liaison and collaboration, media engagement, policy change, and research. Her work focusses on the arts and everyday life in the ancient Mediterranean, providing regular guest lectures on restitution and museum ethics across classical studies, art history, and archaeology.
