Georgia is an Employment-based PhD Scholar with National Parks & Wildlife Service, funded by Research Ireland. Her role as Mayo Dark Sky Park Development Officer is an integral part of her research examining the role of dark sky tourism and community engagement in addressing light pollution, supervised by Dr Therese Conway and Professor Marie Mahon.
Georgia has a background in Outdoor Education and has been a dark sky community volunteer for nearly 10 years. She is also a founding board member of Dark Sky Ireland and the Friends of Mayo Dark Skies community group.
