George Lewis

George Lewis is a Professor of American History at the University of Leicester, UK. His most recent book is _Un-Americanism: A History of the Battle to Control an Idea_, published by UPF in 2026. He has published on a wide variety of subjects, from the ideology of southern segregationists to US Political Party cookbooks. He has worked at the University of Leicester for over two decades, during which he has served as both Director of the Centre for American Studies and Head of the School of History, Politics and IR.
