Geoffrey Wood

Dr. Wood's overall research goal is to improve cancer diagnostics and treatment both in veterinary species as well as humans by employing a One Health approach. He is particularly interested in cross-species cancer sequencing and the role of microRNAs in cancer. Dr. Wood is Co-Director of the Institute for Comparative Cancer Investigation at the University of Guelph housing Canada's largest veterinary biobank, and is Co-Leader of the Dog Osteosarcoma Group: Biomarkers Of Neoplasia (DOGBONe) collaborative research project studying bone cancers in humans and dogs.
