Geoffrey McCormack

Geoffrey McCormack specializes in the history of political economy and theories of contemporary capitalism. His recent work focuses on the post-war transformations of the global political and economic order, with a particular emphasis on the United States and Canada. His co-authored book, entitled The Servant State: Overseeing Capital Accumulation in Canada, examines Canada's unique experience during and since the Great Recession of 2008-09. At this time, he is completing a second book that explores the economic history of Canada over the last five decades. Complementing his studies of Canada and the United States, he is presently designing a large study of contemporary global capitalism.
