- Lecturer in Digital Humanities / Postdoctoral Fellow in Political Science and International Relations, University of Canterbury
I am a political scientist working at the intersection of politics, linguistics and digital methods. I have a professional background as a software developer and use this experience to build large data-sets of text from the web and apply computer-assisted approaches to analyse these texts. I'm currently working on a Marsden-funded research project mapping and analysing debates on lethal autonomous weapons. I also write about NZ's political parties with a focus on their rhetoric in parliament.
