Genevieve Mercille

Genevieve is socially engaged towards food equity. She is an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Université de Montréal and a researcher at the Centre for Public Health Research (CReSP). She is also a registered dietitian with primary expertise in public health nutrition. Her research examines how social and environmental conditions interact with access to food, experiences of food insecurity and nutrition among vulnerable populations in Québec, and health promotion interventions for more equitable and sustainable food systems. Through participatory research approaches, she is committed to working with community organizations, institutions, and governments to provide scientific evidence for the advancement of practice and policy.
