I am an academic, writer, and disability advocate with lived experience informing my research. Currently a PhD student working on the history of critical psychiatry in Australia and its relation to new religious movements and spirituality. I serve as the Disability Officer for both the Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association (SUPRA) and the Council of Australian Postgraduate Associations (CAPA), representing postgraduate students across Australia. I work as a Sessional Academic and bring a strong background in research and ethics to both my academic and advocacy work. In 2019, I completed an MSc by research in Philosophy of Psychiatry, focusing on the proposed psychiatric category 'Internet Gaming Disorder'.
