Gary A Genosko

I am Professor of Communication and Digital Media but I spent the bulk of my academic career in Sociology. I am a specialist in philosophy of communication and techno-cultural theory. I held a Canada Research Chair for 10 years and studied computer hacking and phone phreaking, in addition to administrative surveillance of alcohol in Ontario. I came to exhibition design through my own curatorial projects. I won the Ontario Association of Art Galleries annual award for design and installation in 2010 for an exhibit at Rodman Hall in St. Catharines.
