Frédéric Dufays

Frédéric Dufays is an organization scholar with an interest in alternative organizations: cooperatives, social enterprises, hybrid organizations. He is currently Associate Professor in Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship at the Centre for Social Economy of HEC Liège - Management School of the University of Liège. He also co-holds the Cera-Boerenbond Chair in Cooperative Entrepreneurship at KU Leuven and is the academic coordinator of the Centre of Expertise for Cooperative Entrepreneurship (Kenniscentrum voor Coöperatief Ondernemen).
His current research deals with the democratic governance of cooperatives, how to stimulate economic democracy and its impact on such outcomes as empowerment, gender equality, and democratic behaviour.
