Fenella Amarasinghe is a PhD Candidate in the Faculty of Education, York University. Her dissertation draws on the political philosophy of Hannah Arendt to consider the ways that ethics is pedagogically constituted in engineering education. Fenella previously taught the first-year common engineering course on ethics, communication and problem solving at Lassonde School of Engineering, York University and she developed ethics curricular content for undergraduate engineering programs at Toronto Metropolitan University. She is also a Research Assistant for a cross-institutional research project that investigates students' perceptions and experiences of the Technological Stewardship Practice Program and the concept of Tech Stewardship.
