Agronomist graduated from the Universidade do Estado de Mato Grosso, with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the Universidade de São Paulo, with an emphasis on Plant Virology. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the Environmental Nanotechnology Laboratory of the Institute of Science and Technology of Sorocaba (ICTS/UNESP) and an affiliated researcher at the The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. His research focuses on the use of nanotechnology associated with insecticides and RNA interference (RNAi) for the control of vectors and viral diseases in economically important crops such as tomato, potato, tobacco, and passion fruit.
