Federico Zilio is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Heidelberg Institute of Global Health, which is part of the Faculty of Medicine at Heidelberg University, and an Honorary Fellow, Melbourne Institute: Applied Economic & Social Research, University of Melbourne.

He received his PhD from the Institute of Social and Economic Research, University of Essex.

Dr Zilio’s research interests lie in the area of applied microeconomics including earnings and income inequalities, minimum wage effects on employment, consumption and income insurance from risky events such as natural disasters, unemployment or ill-health.
