PhD researcher and fiscal policy analyst with over a decade of experience in excise and health-related taxation at Indonesia’s Ministry of Finance. Specialises in the design and analysis of sin taxes, including those on sugary drinks, tobacco, alcohol, and carbon, using quantitative and evidence-based approaches. Currently undertaking doctoral research at Griffith University on the fiscal and health impacts of sugar-sweetened beverage (SSB) taxation through econometric and policy-modelling frameworks. Experienced in macro-fiscal modelling, and translating analytical results into policy recommendations for government and development partners (e.g. World Bank, WHO, ASEAN).
