I am a research scientist at The Ohio State University with a focus on the human-environment interactions in mountain regions, particularly the Hindukush-Karakoram-Himalayan (HKH) areas. My current work spans glacial changes, hydro-climatic, and socio-environmental dynamics, with a specific interest in the Indus Basin water conflict between India and Pakistan. I have a PhD in Mountain Environmental Geography and have published extensively on issues related to environmental changes in the mountainous areas of Pakistan. My current research investigates the role of geopolitical, hydroclimatic, and sociocultural factors in shaping regional water governance. I also lead international collaborations to foster dialogue on water diplomacy and climate adaptation strategies.
