Professor Fay Johnston is a public health physician and environmental epidemiologist researching the health impacts of bushfire smoke, wood heater smoke, pollen and other airborne hazards. She leads the Centre for Safe Air, a NHMRC Centre of Research Excellence, and the Environmental Health Research Group at the Menzies Institute for Medical Research, at the University of Tasmania.
