Dr. Fatima Junaid is a Senior Lecturer based in Massey University New Zealand, specializing in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources. With an MBA, MSc, and PhD, she has over two decades of experience as a consultant and educator in both public and private sectors, her research and advocacy focus on wellbeing, equity, and systemic change for marginalised communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her work bridges academic research with policy development, particularly in areas of social justice, and community wellbeing, with special interest in stress, trauma, anxiety, wellbeing, PTSD and psychosocial risks. Fatima leads the Aotearoa New Zealand Muslims Think Tank, a platform dedicated to amplifying Muslim voices in policy, research, and public discourse. She is committed to participatory and community-engaged methodologies that centre lived experiences and challenge structural inequalities. Through her academic and non-academic roles, she actively contributes to initiatives that promote inclusive policy reform, knowledge co-production, and long-term systemic transformation. Her vision is to create research and advocacy pathways that are responsive to community needs and capable of reshaping institutions to be more equitable.
